Lyndy Cooke is a freelance consultant and arts producer, producing Hinterland Festival of Literature & Arts in Kells, County Meath, the Beckett and Frielfests in both Northern and Republic of Ireland as well as working with National Trust and other arts organisations internationally. She is a trustee of Hay Castle Trust in the town she lives in and helped to set up Wales Pen Cymru.
Following a career setting up and running a highly successful chain of 22 bookstores across the UK, she spent 15 years as Managing Director of Hay Festival in UK and was instrumental in the creation and development of the Hay Festivals in Spain, Colombia, Budapest, Ireland, Bangladesh and India. An active initiator and developer of many successful partnerships internationally.
She remains a Vice President of Hay Festival and an associate of such globally recognized festivals as Jaipur Festival and Festivaletteratura in Italy.
With a wealth of experience in event financial planning, Lyndy Cooke has a skill set that includes evolved budget control, planning and forecasting systems.
